Last updated: August 28, 2026
1. Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using PingBeacons, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not use the service.
2. The service
PingBeacons provides monitoring tools for websites, APIs, scheduled tasks, heartbeat endpoints, and SSL certificates.
Features may include automated checks, response-time tracking, incident history, heartbeat monitoring, SSL expiry monitoring, and email or in-app notifications.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for providing accurate account information and for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
You are responsible for all activity performed through your account. You should notify us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.
4. Acceptable use
You may use PingBeacons only for lawful purposes and only to monitor systems, websites, APIs, or endpoints that you own or are authorized to monitor.
You must not use PingBeacons to:
- Violate applicable laws or regulations.
- Attempt unauthorized access to systems or networks.
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of PingBeacons or another service.
- Abuse monitoring requests in a way that causes excessive or harmful traffic.
- Circumvent security controls, usage restrictions, or service limits.
- Use the service for malicious, fraudulent, or deceptive activity.
5. Monitoring and notifications
PingBeacons attempts to perform monitoring checks and deliver notifications according to your configuration. Monitoring results and notifications may be delayed, incomplete, or unavailable due to network conditions, third-party services, maintenance, outages, or other technical circumstances.
You should not rely on PingBeacons as the sole mechanism for detecting critical failures, emergencies, or security incidents.
6. Heartbeat URLs
Certain monitors may provide unique heartbeat URLs or tokens. You are responsible for keeping these URLs confidential where appropriate.
Anyone with access to a valid heartbeat URL may be able to trigger heartbeat activity for the associated monitor.
7. SSL monitoring
SSL certificate monitoring is provided as an informational service. Certificate expiry information may be affected by network conditions, certificate-chain behavior, server configuration, or other technical factors.
You remain responsible for maintaining and renewing certificates used by your systems.
8. Availability
We aim to provide a reliable service, but we do not guarantee that PingBeacons will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or able to detect every outage or monitoring condition.
We may perform maintenance, modify features, or temporarily restrict access when reasonably necessary to operate or protect the service.
9. Third-party services
PingBeacons may depend on third-party infrastructure and services, including hosting, network, email delivery, and other technical providers.
We are not responsible for outages, delays, or failures caused by third-party services outside our reasonable control.
10. Your data
You retain responsibility for the information and monitoring configuration you provide to PingBeacons.
Our collection and handling of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Intellectual property
PingBeacons and its associated software, branding, design, and service content are protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
These Terms do not grant you ownership of PingBeacons or its underlying software and intellectual property.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access to PingBeacons when reasonably necessary to protect the service, other users, or third parties, or when these Terms are materially violated.
You may stop using PingBeacons at any time.
13. Disclaimer
PingBeacons is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We do not warrant that monitoring results will always be accurate, complete, timely, or uninterrupted.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PingBeacons and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or similar damages arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
This includes, where legally permitted, losses resulting from missed alerts, service interruptions, data loss, downtime, or reliance on monitoring results.
15. Changes to the service or terms
We may modify PingBeacons or these Terms from time to time. Updated Terms will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
Continued use of the service after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.
